Conjectures

Hello! I know we haven't blogged in quite a while, so I guess there were a lot of things that we missed out on :( but we were quite busy! But now, as 2nd semester seniors, there are few better things to do than update our lovely blog.

I guess we missed a LOT of bloggy-ness that we could have done over break with Christmas and New Years and everything, but to sum up what we have been up to, Chris went to England over break and I stayed home (and got sick :(). We watched Sherlock Holmes, then wrote a business plan in like 2.5 days and went to NorCal and had lots of fun. THE END. haha that is what we have been up to, in very condensed form, but you will probably hear more stories in upcoming posts :)

So if you guys don't know, the Super Bowl is coming up in a few weeks so we have decided to post our predictions here! I don't particularly watch football, but Chris does so we will mainly be using his expertise to develop these hypotheses. There are 4 teams left, so this is Chris's prediction of who is going to win (from most to least likely):

1. Saints
2. Vikings
3. Colts
4. Jets

ALSO, while Chris is watching football, I spend my time on different things, like watching the BACHELOR :) which is basically an amazingggg show that you should watch if you don't already (just ask Panos ;))! It's only been 2 weeks, but these are my predictions of who is going to win Jake's heart, mostly just for Sharanya :)

1. Ali
2. Elizabeth
3. Tenley
4. Corrie
5. Ella

YUP thats it :) Sorry this is such a short post after such a long break, but we'll have more fun with these after we see who has actually won and we'll post more things shortly!

Love,
Christine and Chris

Chorus

Today we will be discussing the different songs that Christine and I both enjoy listening to. Now, the following are critiques or analysis or anything fancy but just simply if we like the songs or not. Pretty much every time that Christine and I are in Serena, the music is always playing. We hope you enjoy reading the list:

You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift
This is pretty much Christine's favorite song. Sometimes she just listens to it waaay tooo much. The first time that I listened to this song was at an ASB meeting when pretty much all the other ASB officers except for Kevin made me watch the music video for this song because of its ridiculous cuteness. Christine claims that the video is the cutest music video she's ever seen. Honestly, I don't know. Not that I'm saying I've seen a cuter one, it just seemed too cliche for my taste. So that's that. You Belong With Me is pretty much our standby song if we have nothing else to listen to because Christine likes it so much.

The Sharpest Lives - My Chemical Romance
This is my favorite song that both Christine and I listen to. I don't think that she likes it very much because it can get kind of intense at some points and Christine doesn't like that. But I really enjoy that so we have to compromise every now and then. Other than that, there isn't much to say about this song except that the other songs in the same album are pretty awesome as well. Check out Teenagers, Cancer, Famous Last Words, and Welcome to the Black Parade.

PS There is what sounds like a rather inappropriate part in the song. See if you can find it.

Defying Gravity - Glee Version
Yeah I wasn't expecting this song to be on here either. The only reason is because we have a funny story that goes along with it. One time when Christine and I were out during 3rd period and we had to stop by my house really quick we were driving back on Orange towards school. So this song was playing and I was getting really excited for some reason and on the part where the singer sings "DEFYING GRAVITY" I enthusiastically stuck my hands and upper body out the window and started singing. Unbeknownst to those around us, my actions attracted the attention of an old asian man on the other side of the street. After I had re-entered the vehicle the man began to wave excitedly towards me. Of course I waved back but that was our interesting experience while listening to this song.

Fireflies - Owl City
So everyone loves this song to death *cough* Panos *cough* and we're not sure why. We've actually discussed this topic before but come up with no answers. If you guys can figure that out let us know in the comments. If you're just as confused as we are, shoot us a couple theories.

Day 'n' Nite - Kid Cudi
I absolutely despise this song but for some really strange reason, Christine really likes it. I know she's a total weirdo, it doesn't make any sense. This song, in my opinion, is boring, lame, badly written, and has no appeal to the common teenager. Christine's argument is that "the song is soo cool hehehe". Yeah I know what you're thinking.

Russian Roulette - Rihanna
This is my current favorite/obsession song. I go through these kind of things about once or twice per week and as I'm writing this I am also listening to this rather interesting song. I think it first started when I heard a performance of it done at the Marquesas Winter Showcase. I did watch the youtube video before but honestly it did not impress me much. After that singing performance however, it sounded so much better. Christine has no comment on this song because she's currently sleeping on webcam.

Good Girls Gone Bad - Cobra Starship
As it is rather difficult to extract information from a sleeping Christine, I will do my best to tell you all what I know about this song solo. I believe it's been her obsession song for at least two weeks now. I'm guess Christine just really likes the singing and the different beats and stuff. Honestly I don't really know but it is a rather good song. Also, apparently Blair from Gossip Girl sings in this song. *shrug*

Sweet Caroline - Glee Version
Sweet Caroline by Glee is the song that Christine and I both agreed was our favorite as a couple. I'm not sure how this came to be but it is a really nice beautiful catchy song. I really encourage you to check it out. Try both the old and the glee version they are both really good. Nothing really more to say except this song is awesome.

This is not a very interesting post. If you got through the whole thing kudos to you. Sorry guys finals studying and also has sucked up time like a sponge.

Celebrations & Consumerism

'Ello! We have not blogged for quite a while so we're going to catch you up on the fabulous lives of Chris and Christine! So last week was Thanksgiving (yay for a short school week!) which also meant Black Friday/UC&USC APPS.

For my Thanksgiving my uncle and aunt and LITTLE REALLY CUTE COUSIN (who's REALLY smart) came over! We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with the turkey and homemade mashed potatoes and STUFFING (YUMMMMY Daniel ;)) & the whole shebang. It was very yummmmy. We didn't really do much, although we did watch Jeopardy! (as is our family's custom during these annual get-togethers).

For Chris's Thanksgiving, he went to his aunt's house and got together with these 4 other families, and altogether they had 7 boys (including them) and 2 girls. They played Super Smash Brothers (which Chris and Ryan dominated, of course) & watched Aliens in the Attic (with Ashley Tisdale! who is quite pretty according to Chris. Although Sharpay's character has completely ruined his mental image of her) which was not very good..but its okay! They also watched Mythbusters! And learned how to use DUCT TAPE! and make a POTATO GUN out of it! He says dinner was quite yummy, although the turkey was kinda dry and his uncle made this AMAZING sticky rice! YUM.

The next day, we went BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING w/ Elaine at Great Mall! This was Chris's first time Black Friday shopping, but it was my third year in a row Black Friday shopping at Great Mall ( =O ). We woke up at 6:30am to go to the mall (remember that time in your head), which is not as intense as those inTENSE people who like go like at midnight, but the mall was packed anyways. So we started walking around the mall, and the first place we saw was the Coach outlet. The sales must have been AMAZING because the line was way out the door and into the empty store next door. We kept walking, stopping occasionally at girly-ish stores like Papaya and Forever 21 (which Chris did not appreciate very much. also, Forever 21 has the SHORTEST dresses EVER. which Chris appreciated more I think). & we also saw Britni! But finally we got to Chris's store, HOLLISTER. (also, Chris bought these jeans at PacSun, but they're too tight, so he says if anyone is willing to return them for him he'll be eternally grateful :)). So we shopped around some more, went into all these stores. I didn't buy too much, but Elaine and Chris went a little KUH-RAZY :)

Also throughout Great Mall are all these little kiosks. After passing the traditional hermit crab display (where the lady was shoveling the hermit crabs like there was no tomorrow), we also saw this really cool place with these tshirts that had these lights and stuff that like lit up to music and rhythms! And then we were like...that's like a shirt Will Amoura would have! COOL. We also saw a kiosk selling SNUGGIES for a $25/2 deal..AMAZING RIGHT! But then no one wanted to buy one with me :( poooooopie. (WATCH THIS VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdY7Adc1LRM). Also the mall was FULL of these little booths for people to sign up if you wanted to be a model! and there was even like a RUNWAY in the mall...awkward.

Also! We went to the Verizon store. This was almost the funnest part of the whole day. So we discovered that you can actually send real texts from the phones in the Verizon store, so we decided to have a little funnn. We started sending a certain someone these creeepy texts (ex// ______, I know where you live. _________, I know your middle name.) I think he got kind of scared..but it was so funny! HAHHAHA. Okay the end :) Sorry for scaring you!

So finally it was the end of our shopping adventure. Exhausted, we found a couch at a Starbucks, sat down, and waited for my mommy to come pick us up, which she finally did at 2:30pm (I hope you remember what time we got there. that was like, the LONGEST SHOPPING TRIP EVER.) And then after we dropped off Chris and Elaine, I went shopping again at Target! yay!

Finally, the last things of our weekend, we both turned in our apps for UCs/USC, like many other seniors out there :) We hope you guys all didn't have trouble turning them in & good luckk!

ALSO. Chris is getting the Samsung Rogue this Friday, so if you see his new phone, please compliment it :) Okay the end! Only a few more weeks until break!

Love,
Christine & Chris

Cravings

OM NOM NOM NOM

Hello everyone, we're back! I know that we haven't posted anything in a really long time but that's because we've been busy with various activities and it really has pushed blogging into the back seat. But not to worry, today is the continuation of our super blog bonanza!

So recently, Christine and I participated in the Food For All 30 Hour where you are only allowed to drink water for 30 hours straight. The point was to promote the awareness of world hunger as Christine and I were asked to wear signs and collect donations to go to World Vision. Anyway, to make a long story short, we got pretty freaking hungry.

There were various times where we were forced to watch as other people ate right in front of our faces. Sometimes the people did them on accident while others did it with cruelty in their hearts. There are two instances in which I remember this clearly occurring. One time was when we decided to go to Chipotle with Ashley and Panos. Yeah, I don't understand why we did that, it was kind of stupid to go and watch other people watch Chipotle when you can't eat. Another instance was when Maayan bought Christine and I a cupcake because Samuel told her to and he was being stupid. That was really sweet of Maayan actually because she didn't even know it was for sadistic purposes. Anyway, if in the future you know someone is participating in something like this, its probably not the best idea to make fun of them because I know that I got REALLY grumpy.

My thoughts are that the famine was a really interesting idea. It really opened my eyes to the super food filled kind of society that we have. Other than that I learned that it really sucks to not eat and also that eating very quickly after a famine isn't the best of ideas. Christine thinks that this was the hungriest that she ever got out of all three times she has done the famine because normally Christine can go anywhere with Serena and eat everything. You know how it is. I know I do. :P

After the 30 Hour Famine theres a banquet where everyone brings food in to eat together. That was nice and all but it didn't really satisfy Christine my my cravings for some really good food. So Christine and I drove to Safeway afterschool and bought some instant mashed potatoes and 3 giant steaks. After that, we went home and proceeded to cook all the food. Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead far enough and I didn't have enough seasoning for the steak so they didn't turn out the best they could be. On top of that I don't have a grill so I ended up pan searing and then baking them. If anyone of you have an awesome steak recipe whether be for seasoning, or cooking, or both, write them in the comments below because we would love to try them out. Going back to the steaks, we actually both managed to finish all the food with a little help from Ryan. I got to say, my stomach actually physically hurt from eating so much food. When my mom came home she was incredibly surprised that Christine finished a whole steak by herself. I, on the other hand, am not surprised. The amount of food that girl eats is kind of embarrassing sometimes. Christine's response to that? "OMG excuse me" and "Actually Chris I'm kind of hungry right now" This is at 1 o'clock in the morning.

Since we're on the topic of food Christine and I have had our recent cravings and obsessions for specific types of food. Christine has gone KUH-RAZY through the past couple weeks for Asiago bagels with sun dried tomato shmear. Honestly, I think that it's ok. I prefer the Good egg with the smoked salmon shmear. But Christine has insisted that we stop by Noah's Bagels at least once a week so that she can have some of her bagel goodness. I on the other hand have had a recent obsession for "Toad in a Hole", "Egg in a Basket" there are a million names for it but it's most easily described as an egg in a toast hole. Recently I became obsessed because I saw someone cooking it on V for Vendetta and it looked really yummy. So far my attempts have been alright except for the fact that I tend to burn the bread before the egg is finished cooking. If anyone knows how to prevent that, it would be awesome if you let me know because I really want to try and really good "Toad in a Hole".

One last thing to note. When I was testing my culinary skills Christine found the BIGGEST EGG EVER! Like, this thing was freaking massive. My mom might have eaten it already but if its still there when I get back I'll see if I can get a picture of it. I mean this egg was like the size of two eggs put together and we didn't use it for cooking for fear that a like chick was inside. Anyway that's that. Hope you enjoyed reading through more adventures of Chris and Christine

Costumes

Vote for Percival the Pumpkin tomorrow in the Rally Court!

Happy day after Halloween! Chris and I celebrated Halloween very differently, so we will recount our adventures of the spooooooooky day.

So on Friday, for Halloween, we had to dress up for Chem lab points. Jocelyn, Morgan, Tom and I were mechanics, from Quantum Co...so we were QUANTUM MECHANICS (HAHAHHAHA. very few people appreciate this joke, okay. it was quite clever, we thought) Then last night, I went to church to help facilitate our church's Fun Fest, which is a night that we hold for little kids as an alternative to trick or treating. It was pretty fun, with games and food and stuff... and there was a cardboard maze! (we should build one in the rally court!!) The most interesting part of the night was that this one lady came dressed up as a devil. ...don't you think about these things before you leave the house?!?!?! Chris, on the other hand, went trick or treating with Ashley, Neena, Trisha and Panos. They had a lot of fun! Trisha and Ashley both dressed as airplanes, Chris and Panos were creeper Fawkes guys (Ashley's mom thought they were majorrr creepers), and Neena was a dalmatian to match Aaron's fireman costume! Chris says it was really cute and it's really tooo bad that Christine couldn't come, because it was really fun :( (Chris says that he's playing Super Mario World 2, btw. ) They went around Ashley's house for a while, but then Aaron got tired, so they took him back. Then they went to Neena's house and saw lots of people! And then there was this one house that was freaking SCARY. They had like a ton of decorations and they got candy..and then...they went outside and made a really loud noise and then a BIG ZOMBIE POPPED UP AND A CHAINSAW SOUND AND THE GUY POPPED OUT AND STARTED CHASING THEM OUT WITH A CHAINSAW (and everyone freaked out...except Chris (of course)). Haha but Chris said it was prettty scary. Creeeeepy. And then they went to Neena's house and traded CANDY. OM NOM NOM.

So before this Halloween, I only really celebrated Halloween as a little kid. Pretty much Halloween before this, I've been a Disney princess. (Chris scoffs at the idea). I've been Mulan, Snow White, Cinderella, Tinkerbell (not really a princess, but pretty much the same thing), and Sleeping Beauty. All the kids in Chris's family, he says, have been COWS. HAHAHHA. and then..he was a COWBOY!! AHHAAHA. and then...he started liking Star Wars, so he was a Jedi Knight (HOW CUTE!).

Okay now..for the part you've all been waiting for...the Chris and Christine Costume Awards!!!!!

1. Cutest Costume:
Christine: I think the cutest costume I saw was Cindy's! She was dressed up as Winnie the Pooh..and it was really cute!
Chris: Chris says he didn't see any cute costumes.

2. Scariest Costume:
Christine: The scariest one that I saw all day at school was this one kid who had this white thing around his head. On the white thing there was like blood and then he had like a string and an eyeball popped out...SCARY.
Chris: The best one Chris said he saw was the person dressed up as Rorschach from Watchmen. We have yet to identify the mysterious person behind the mask, but their costume was really good, so props to you! Identify yourself if you're reading this :)

3. Cool Costumes
Christine: OMG so I really liked how all the teachers in the History department were Kate + 8. HHAHAHAHA. So funny/cute. Yay.
Chris: Chris has declined to comment because he is busy playing Super Mario World 2.

OKAY THE END. There were a lot of really cute costumes at school and last night, sorry we could only mention a select few ;) But feel free to leave us comments on your Halloween. That's all for now!

Love,
Christine and Chris
